Core Functionality

Cl@ve is not a simple note-taking app. It is a unified authentication gateway that replaces separate credentials for each agency. The system operates through two main mechanisms:

• Permanent Cl@ve (Cl@ve Permanente): Generate a private, fixed password linked to your DNI/NIE. Use it across all participating services—Tax Agency, Social Security, Traffic Authority (DGT), and regional administrations—without re-registering each time.

• One-Time Password (Cl@ve PIN): For quick, low-risk procedures like checking a fine status or verifying a tax return, request a numeric PIN that expires after a short period. No need to remember a long password.

• Digital Certificate Integration: The app acts as a container for your installed digital certificates (e.g., FNMT, DNIe). It reads the certificate from the device’s secure storage and presents it to the web service, eliminating the manual file-selection dialog.

• QR Code Login: On desktop, start a procedure in your browser. The site displays a QR code. Scan it with the Cl@ve app, confirm your identity with your phone’s PIN or biometrics, and the desktop session authenticates instantly.
