Core mechanics: A studio built from the screen up
OpenTune abandons the traditional piano roll and mixer channel strip for a workspace that adapts to how you actually move your fingers. The core engine is a multi-track sampler that handles both WAV and MIDI input, but the workflow is defined by three structural innovations:

No proprietary container formats; your projects are saved as a folder structure of raw audio files and a JSON session descriptor, making them human-readable and version-controllable.
