Then pick a class: Warriors (melee damage, heavy armor proficiency), Mages (spellcasting, low physical defense), Clerics (healing magic, undead banishment), and others like Rogues (stealth, trap detection) or Rangers (ranged combat, animal summons). Each combination unlocks unique abilities and passives — for example, an Orc Warrior gets a charge attack that stuns enemies, while an Elf Mage gains a mana regeneration bonus. There is no "right" choice; every race-class pair has clear strengths and weaknesses that affect your entire run.

Turn-Based Combat with Simultaneous Enemy Movement

The core gameplay loop follows traditional roguelike rules. You move one tile per action, and every time you take a step, every visible enemy also moves one tile. This creates a chess-like tactical puzzle where positioning matters as much as stats. To attack, simply tap any adjacent enemy — the game handles damage calculations automatically based on your equipped weapon, strength modifier, and enemy armor class. The interface is deliberately minimal: your spellbook (tap to cast), potion belt (tap to drink), and inventory (tap to equip or drop) are always one touch away, with no nested menus. A turn counter at the top of the screen tracks how many days remain, updating every 100 actions (each action = one turn).
