Description Delta Force

Delta Force: A Tactical First-Person Shooter for Mobile, PC, and Console

Struggling to find a mobile shooter that delivers both a deep single-player campaign and large-scale multiplayer battles without sacrificing tactical depth? Many mobile FPS titles offer one or the other, but rarely both. Delta Force, developed by TiMi Studio Group (a subsidiary of Tencent) and published by Level Infinite, aims to bridge this gap. This is the first mainline entry in the Delta Force series in over a decade, following the PC release of Delta Force: Xtreme 2 in 2009. The game is a cross-platform title, allowing you to squad up with friends on PC and console while playing on your mobile device. It combines a narrative-driven campaign with a robust multiplayer suite, all set in a near-future 2035 conflict.

Core Gameplay Mechanics and Tactical Options

Delta Force is a first-person shooter that draws mechanical inspiration from franchises like Battlefield and Call of Duty. The game features both a single-player campaign and a multiplayer mode supporting up to 32 players on large, open maps. Movement is not restricted to ground combat; you can traverse the battlefield on foot, or utilize vehicles including helicopters, tanks, and boats. The game emphasizes tactical positioning and loadout customization, allowing you to choose your approach before each mission or match.

  • Class System: Four distinct roles: Assault, Recon, Engineer, and Support. Each class has unique passive abilities and equipment.
  • Loadout Customization: Equip your operator with specific weapons, tactical gear (grenades, smoke), and passive perks before deployment.
  • Cover and Peeking: Use environmental objects for cover. The game supports a lean mechanic for peeking around corners without exposing your full body.
  • Vehicle Combat: Operate land, sea, and air vehicles. Tanks provide heavy firepower, helicopters offer aerial support, and boats enable water-based flanking routes.

Single-Player Campaign: Operation Gothic Serpent

The single-player campaign is a direct recreation of the events depicted in the film Black Hawk Down. You are inserted into Mogadishu, Somalia, in 1993. The objective is to rescue a downed helicopter crew and extract them from a hostile urban environment. This is a linear, story-driven experience where you command a squad of three other AI-controlled operators. The campaign focuses on close-quarters combat, room clearing, and coordinating your squad’s movements to survive against numerically superior forces. Success requires careful management of ammunition, suppression tactics, and utilizing the unique abilities of your squadmates.

Multiplayer Modes and Map Design

The multiplayer component features large-scale maps designed for combined arms warfare. The 32-player count is divided into two teams. Several classic game modes are available, each with distinct objectives:

  • Classic Deathmatch: Free-for-all. Every player is an enemy. First to a set kill count wins.
  • Team Deathmatch: Two teams compete to reach a combined kill limit. Focus on squad coordination and map control.
  • Capture the Flag: Secure the enemy team’s flag from their base and return it to yours. Requires coordinated pushes and defensive rotations.
  • Target Capture: Control specific points on the map by holding a zone. Points are scored based on the number of zones controlled over time.

Maps are designed with multiple elevation levels, interior buildings, and open fields. This forces you to adapt your class and loadout to the terrain. A map with dense urban structures favors Recon and Assault classes, while open desert maps with vehicle spawns favor Engineers and Support.

Technical Specifications and Performance

Delta Force is built for modern mobile hardware. The game supports high frame rate modes on devices with chipsets like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Apple A15 Bionic and newer. Graphics settings allow you to toggle shadow quality, texture resolution, anti-aliasing, and draw distance. The cross-platform feature uses a unified account system, meaning your progress and unlocks carry across mobile, PC, and console versions. The game requires an active internet connection for all modes, including the single-player campaign, as it uses server-side validation for progression.
