Saint Seiya Shining Soldiers (JP) puts you in the tactical driver's seat of the legendary Sanctuary. This is not a simple button-masher. You build a roster of Bronze, Silver, and Gold Saints, then deploy them in turn-based clashes where positioning and timing determine victory. Every Cosmo blast, every Seventh Sense activation, every counterattack is a decision you make. The question is not whether you can win—it's whether you can outthink your opponent.

Core combat mechanics

The game uses a grid-based battle system. Each Saint occupies a specific zone. You drag and drop units to advance, retreat, or flank. Melee fighters like Seiya must close distance before they can land a Pegasus Meteor Fist. Ranged units like Shaina can attack from the back row but are vulnerable when exposed. You control movement and action points every turn.

• Turn-based grid combat – Move, attack, or defend per round.
• Seventh Sense burst mode – Unleash ultimate attacks when gauge is full.
• Elemental affinity system – Fire, Ice, Lightning, and Cosmos counters.

Cosmos energy powers special moves. You earn it by landing basic attacks or blocking enemy strikes. Once the gauge reaches 100%, you activate Seventh Sense mode. This unlocks each Saint's signature attack: Pegasus Ryusei Ken, Diamond Dust, or Thunderbolt. Timing this burst can turn a losing fight into a clean sweep.

Roster and progression

You collect Saints through a gacha summon system. Each Saint drops at a specific rarity: R, SR, or SSR. Duplicate pulls upgrade their skills. You also equip Cosmo stones—six slots per unit—that boost stats like ATK, DEF, SPD, and HP. Mixing matching Cosmo sets activates bonus effects: Life Steal, Critical Chance, or Damage Reflection.

Multiplayer and live events

The game features real-time PvP in the Colosseum mode. You face other players' teams in asynchronous battles. Your defensive formation auto-fights when offline. Offensive battles are manual. Ranked seasons run for two weeks. Rewards include exclusive Cosmo stones, summon tickets, and limited profile frames.

Guilds let you share resources and request specific Cosmo types. You can also send stamina to teammates. The boss raid mode requires coordination. Each player deploys three Saints per attempt. Damage is cumulative. Top contributors earn bonus loot boxes with SSR fragments.

Visual and performance features

The game runs on Unity engine with cel-shaded 3D models. Character animations match the anime's fluid motion. Special attacks include camera zooms and particle effects. UI is optimized for one-handed play on portrait mode. Load times average under 5 seconds on Android 6.0 and above.
