Description Up & Down

You are the laws of physics. Gravity is just the beginning.

Up & Down doesn’t just simulate a bouncing ball; it simulates a system of forces, momentum, and counter-intuitive movement. This isn’t a platformer where you jump. This is a physics sandbox where you control the gravity vector. You are the architect of every ascent and descent. If you have ever wanted to master the raw mechanics of motion in a clean, responsive environment, this is your tool.

Core Mechanics & Simulation Tools

  • Gravity Toggle System: Instantly reverse the direction of gravitational pull with a single tap. Your object doesn’t just fall; it falls toward your command. Shift from "Down" to "Up" to launch your sphere into a controlled ascent, or flip it sideways to slide along sheer walls. The engine calculates every trajectory change in real-time.
  • Precision Momentum Engine: The physics model tracks velocity vectors, friction coefficients, and bounciness levels. Each surface type—metal, rubber, or glass—reacts with a distinct impact response. You are not just tapping; you are managing kinetic energy and impulse.
  • Obstacle & Force Field Editor: The built-in level designer lets you place static barriers, temporary force fields, and moving pillars. Adjust the mass of your object to see how it resists acceleration. Tweak the "bounce multiplier" to create chaotic chain reactions or precise, slow-motion landings.
  • Real-time Trajectory Overlay: Activate a visual path predictor to see exactly where your object will land based on your current velocity and the next gravity flip. This tool is essential for mastering the game’s "Precision Mode" where one wrong vector means total loss of control.

Key Advantages for High-Performance Simulation

  • Zero-Latency Input Response: The game registers your gravity flip command on the exact same frame you touch the screen. No buffer, no delay. This is critical for split-second reversals during high-speed descents.
  • Stable 60 FPS Physics Tick Rate: The simulation runs at a dedicated physics refresh rate, independent of visual frame drops. Even on Android 7 devices, the collision detection and momentum calculations remain consistent.
  • Clean, Distraction-Free UI: The heads-up display shows only essential data: current velocity (m/s), gravity direction indicator, and a small trajectory preview. No ads, no pop-ups during a run. The interface is designed to be a tool, not an interruption.
  • Modular Level Structure: Each "World" is a set of 10 physics puzzles. You can replay any level with different gravity settings or object mass to see how the solution changes. This is a learning tool for physics principles as much as it is a game.

Download game now — This is a limited-edition release from the ISEC academic team. The full editor and all 50 levels are available for the first 1,000 installs. After that, the "Designer Mode" becomes a premium unlock.

Heads up: you'll need wifi for the initial download of the physics asset pack. Some cool stuff, like the trajectory overlay and custom force fields, is extra in the full version.
